Bingo and Raffles

In order for an organization to have a game of chance in Lacey Township the organization must obtain a license from the Lacey Township Municipal Clerk's Office.

NOTE:  Silent Auctions, door prizes, fund raising dinners, etc. DO NOT require a raffle license.

Applicant must be in possession of a current State Registration I.D. and issue copy of it to the Township of Lacey for their records.

Applicant must complete 4 (four) applications per event and have each application notarized.

Applicant must complete an Affidavit of Participation and have the affidavit notarized.

CHAPTER 47 - Rules of Legalized Games of Chance

Applicant must pay LGCCC (Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission) State charges, which vary accordingly, depending upon the specifics of each event (the Clerk's Office is in possession of a book from the LGCCC for all variations as to fees and types of games) and Township licensing fees the day application is submitted for consideration.

Important Notice Regarding Raffle Ticket Submissions

Off Premise Merchandise and Off Premise Cash Raffles require a sample ticket.  Please use the sample ticket provided by the LGCCC to ensure that the ticket has all the necessary information required.

Please do not reuse or alter an old raffle ticket from a previous event. Submitting a previously issued ticket with updated information is the most common reason raffle applications are rejected by the state.

To ensure your application is accepted, always create a new, original ticket using the sample from the State for each raffle.

You may download all the necessary applications/forms/sample tickets from the Legalized Games website - LGCCC

Applications are then sent to the State LGCCC for their approval whereby they have 14 days to approve or disapprove said application. If the Applicant owes the State any additional monies, the State will notify the Applicant for any monies in arrears with a copy to the Township Clerk's Office. The applications are forwarded as follows.

1. LGCCC - for their review, records and approval.

2. Lacey Township Police Department - Record keeping and police checks.

3. Applicant - For their records and their Gaming License will be attached for public display.

4. Clerk's Office Copy - For Township records and follow-up purposes if necessitated by any concerned party.

Applicants can also request an application for this license from the Township Clerk's Office.  Allow at least 4 weeks for processing, as each event has to be processed through the Municipal Clerk's office and approved by the State LGCCC.

Fee Schedule

RAFFLES - $20.00 per $1,000.00 – no fee for on-premise raffle with value under $400.00

The fee schedule is the same for both the state and the township. Make checks payable to the Township of Lacey for the township fee.  Make checks payable to Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission (LGCCC) for the state fee.
