Township Administrator

The Township Administrator’s Office is responsible for the coordination, implementation and execution of the policies and priorities of the elected officials.  The Township Administrator is basically responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Township.  The Administrator is appointed by the governing body and serves for an indefinite terms, until replaced by the governing body.

The office is comprised of the Township Administrator and two secretaries. The office performs various tasks and duties including preparing the budget annually and submitting it to the governing body and then administers the budget after approval.  The Administrator also serves as the appointing authority for the Township in matters involving the NJ Department of Personnel, as well as recommending disciplinary action when it is in the best interest of the Township.  The Administrator advises the governing body on the financial status of the Township and how to prepare for future needs.  In addition, the Administrator recommends actions for the health and safety of the Township, organizes departments so as to reach optimum efficiency, and attends all governing body meetings.  Finally, she supervises purchases of all materials as stated in the budget, investigates complaints against the Township or any Department and sees that all laws and ordinances are fully enforced.
