9/15/2014 - NJ NATURAL GAS ENERGY ASSISTANCE DAYS

 

 

On October 1, 2014, the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will begin accepting applications for the 2014-2015 heating season.  LIHEAP and the state's Universal Service Fund (USF) provide benefits to supplement the cost of utility bills for eligible limited-income households.  Moreover, NJNG'S Gift of Warmth fund along with the state-sponsored Payment Assistance Gas and Electric and NJ SHARES programs provide energy assistance to households that exceed LIHEAP and USF income thresholds but are currently experiencing temporary or unanticipated financial hardship. 

NJNJ will host Energy Assistance Days at the locations listed below, with representatives on hand to answer questions and offer personal assistance in the application process:
