Lacey Township Recycling Center Information

Residents may bring their recyclables to our location at any time throughout the year during the following hours:

Monday thru Friday - 7 am to 3:15 pm
Saturday & Sunday - 8 am to 3:45 pm

The Recycling Center is closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

We Accept.....

Computer Equipment/Electronics

-All Components
-Equipment is completely disassembled at Supreme Computer, sorted by material class and recycled back into the manufacturing stream.  It is an environmental liability to any and all persons not to recycle this equipment.  New State and Federal Law has been established and improper disposal of these materials could result in legal litigation.

Paint

- Full, partially full or empty paint cans, from latex, oil based or boat paint only, from Ocean County Residents (Not Contractors), in one gallon and five gallon containers.

Used Clothing

- Deposit used clothing in the bins provided.  Proceeds from used clothing benefit the AMVETS, which partially funds Lacey Township's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Programs.

Newspaper, Mixed Paper/Junk Mail/Office Paper

- Do not place in plastic bags.  Combine all paper products together and place in container provided.  No string, no bags, no pizza or cereal boxes, no beverage boxes.

Corrugated Cardboard 

Large amounts of corrugated cardboard may be placed in containers closest to the entrance of the Recycling Center.

Used Motor Oil & Antifreeze

- From resident's personal vehicles only.
- Oil should be in a disposable one gallon container and should be left with the attendant on duty, a maximum of five 1 gallon containers per person.

Used Car/Boat Batteries & Automobile Tires

- Up to four (4) passenger car tires per person with rims removed.
- NO TRUCK TIRES.

Commingled Products

- Glass, Cans, Plastic Bottles

Brush

- Nothing larger than 3" in caliber.  (NO trees or tree stumps)

Leaves

- Empty plastic bags into our designated leaf pile.

Brush and Leaves brought to the Recycling Center are processed into woodchips and mulch that is free to Lacey Residents when available.

-  It is a violation of the law for any person to drop off or leave recyclable material at the Recycling Center at any time other than normal hours of operation.

-  It is a violation of the law for any person to leave any material, except designated recyclable materials at the Recycling Center at any time.  VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED.
